Sakia’s mission is to initially help change the law to make the maximum age of prison children 3 years old, instead of 6, and eventually make it so that they aren’t allowed to live there at all.

    Oddly enough, some of the more interesting reforms in the US are about stopping the removal of children from mothers who gave birth while incarcerated, and finding ways that they can be involved with their children for the first couple of years of their lives.
