More DNA evidence of Viking warrior women

DNA proves fearsome Viking warrior was a woman | Science | AAAS
High-ranking fighter was long assumed to be male

 

DNA testing recently provided more evidence that the tomb of a high-rank Viking warrior — replete with war horses, weapons, and, awesomely enough, strategy board games — was that of a woman.

Others still aren’t convinced, but hey, mounting evidence.
