State of the Project

Hey y’all – some quick updates:

1) Unscheduled Website Revamp

Some of you may have been unfortunate enough to see the site has gone down a couple times this month. This has to do with peculiar site hosting quotas and an unexpected swarm of bots and hacking attempts. I’ve had to divert a ton of time to bulletproofing the website against that, as well as fulfilling the Patreon promise of getting the Modern Worthies on the map. The cool thing is, the revamp is looking nice and streamlined:

(redesign in-progress, all subject to change)

2) Next Post

Because of the aforementioned hosting problems, I have to push back the next post until the first of the month. Bummer, but if I post it this week, the website will hit its monthly quota and go down again.

3) Posting Schedule

I’ve not been posting nearly as often as I’d like, and it’s been a bummer. A huge part of that is that the comic-style entries just knock the bejeezus out of me. Since I’m working on book two at the same time as trying to keep the website up, something’s got to give: I’m gonna be doing fewer comic-style entries. It’s a bummer but I can’t keep this up.

4) Comic Cons

I’ll be at HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC this June! It’ll be my first time doing artists alley and I’m terrified. If it goes well, I’ll be doing more cons – looking at you, GeekGirlCon!

5) Appearing at Schools

I’m trying to reach out to more schools for the fall, so if you’re a student/teacher/librarian/whatnot and would like for me to come by, email hello@rejectedprincesses.com and let me know – I’ll need your help in reaching out to the relevant people. Many schools are about to hit summer break, so now’s the time to start planning for fall appearances.

Thanks y’all!
