This picture cracks me up every time I look at it. There’s the Thief Chief, dead with a belly dancer sword in his chest, with his horrible glasses-and-mustache disguise slipping off his face and his dagger slipping out of his hand.
In the background are a shocked hookah-wielding Ali Baba, with spilled soup, and an alarmed servant. Outside, in the moonlight, are 38 oil jugs filled with 37 corpses.
And spinning fabulously in the foreground in her old school belly dance attire, whipping off her veil, is our hero Marjana. You’re too good for this world, Marjana. No one deserves you.
