How Cycling Clothing Opened Doors For Women

Advances in biking gear had an impact on advances in gender equality.

When women first started riding bikes, many did so in dresses — and a handful died from clothing getting caught in the pedals. The news of the day usually took from this that women shouldn’t ride bikes.
